Point of Impact MMA’s youth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition team reached an exciting milestone this past Sunday at the Dream Jiu Jitsu Tournament, bringing its largest group of young competitors to an event to date.
With more Team Impact athletes representing Point of Impact MMA than ever before, the tournament was a memorable day of competition, personal growth, and community support.
A Milestone for Our Kids BJJ Competition Team
For many of our young athletes, Sunday’s tournament represented an important step forward in their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey. Several students competed for the first time at a new belt level, while others experienced the challenge of competing on a larger stage than they were accustomed to.
Despite these new challenges, our competitors stepped onto the mats with confidence, determination, and a willingness to test the skills they’ve developed through consistent training.
The results reflected their hard work, with the majority of Team Impact competitors earning medals throughout the tournament.
While bringing home medals is always exciting, we believe the greatest accomplishments extend beyond the podium. Every match provides an opportunity for our students to develop resilience, sportsmanship, discipline, and confidence—qualities that are just as valuable off the mats as they are in competition.
Strong Teamwork and an Incredible Show of Support
One of the highlights of the Dream Jiu Jitsu Tournament was the overwhelming support from our Team Impact community.
Families, friends, and teammates came together to cheer on our young competitors, creating an encouraging atmosphere throughout the day. Seeing so many familiar faces supporting our athletes was a reminder that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is about much more than individual competition.
We also want to recognize the dedication of our coaching staff, who spent over nine hours at the tournament guiding, encouraging, and supporting our athletes through their matches.
Their commitment, combined with the continued involvement of our students’ families, plays an essential role in building the positive and supportive training environment we strive to provide at Point of Impact MMA.
Building Confidence Through Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
